1988.5 Suzuki Samurai

Up for sale is my 1988.5 Suzuki Samurai. I bought the Sammie in March of 2011 and started a six year process of bringing the truck to as close to stock as I could. It had been used as an RV toad for several years and then run on hard times. When I drove it home from Memphis it couldbarely maintain 40 mph. I have no idea of the total number of miles on the frame because it odometer runs when it is being toaded. The new engin (see below) has approximately 4000. Miles will change since the sammie gets used every week. I will try to keep this brief because you will notice that I had way too many things done.
Changes and Good Things:
Engine: This engine rebuild andmachining was all done by Rod's Suzuki (in the Suzuki business since 1988) by one master engine builder. The engine is balanced and blueprinted. rebuilt hi performance which includes new highcompressioncustom flat top pistons (10-1) with new improved ring design; new crank kit, new water pump and new oil pump. New mid range power cam. Rebuilt head with new exhaust/intake valves, new premium valve seals. It also came with a valve cover, oil pan, new timing belt, new timing belt cover and distributor housing. This is the most compete long block out there. The engine puts out 100 horses when combined with the Weber carburetor and header combo.
Transmission: Rebuild also done by Rod's came with new shifter locating bolt. We added the new shift tower, complete shift lever assembly and a NEW heavy duty clutch.
Interior: New full custom carpet set - front and rear. New complete interior panel set. New heavy vinyl upholstery. New center console with door. I did have an aftermarket clock installed in the lower center console. New Rally Insulated Top
Other: Golden's Paint and Body in Hot Springs, AR did a complete body detail cleaning up several "character" flaws and fixing the manyarmatureattempts to touch up paint the truck. New OEM Front and Rear Bumpers. New OEM front and rear springs. RoadMaster Tow Plates andwiringfor towing.
Things that Need to be Done: I don't believe there is any item that currently needs to be addressed.
BUY IT NOW: There is a pretty low buy it now and that comes with thehardwarefor conversion back to soft top and one full top and one bikini top. Also, includes the Road Master Tow bar.
SHIPPING: Shipping is the responsiblity of the buyer, but I will work with any shipper you choose. I will deliver within 500 miles for $.50/mile and distances greater than 500 miles for $.75/mile. To be paid before transportation.
