Did you happen to see the 92 loyal same color as this on eBay for 11000$? Talk about a beautiful car and only 30 thousand miles wow, that's pretty special I must admit the paint is certainly better on that car than mine. But being that they are old Subaru's I wouldn't drive either in the winter. Funny they are both more desirable because they are not 2wdv but won't see the winter anyway. This is a 4wd not awd 4 cylinder fuel infected turbo charged car with 97k actual miles. I bought this car from the original North Carlolina owner in 2014 with 75k miles. It may as well be 2wd as I drive a 87 blue dual ranger in the winter and this in the summer. Having had the ej22t ej25 the turbo 1.8 the carb 1.8 and the fuel inj 1., I can say without a doubt as far as a 1.8 goes the turbo is much better than the carb or fuel injected 1.8, yes there is something to be said about carb simplicity, the worst one is the 1.8?auto. This car cruises for a small car, it seems that the head gaskets go at 90 k, at 91 the originals let go. The engine was taken out and received new head gasket, heads machines timing belts seals tensioner water pum, the original clutch was replaced and the car was put back together, it had 6 k miles since then going to Maine and daily driving ect. The motor is 100%, it had its new seals so it doesn't mark its territory, I park the car on plastic to keep the ground moisture out......maybe it's all psychological maybe not, most of the northeast cars like this are soup cans. I would say the body and paint is 94 , rust on hatch see pic, I have a rust free hatch but it doesn't say turbo 4 we rust onset grill on piece abouve bumper dent on roof. So add this up with the big NC paint fade and it's not close to the other loyal. But that won't matter as that car will be getting smaller all the time in the rear view mirror. The interior comes with blue door panels to replace the original, the dash isn't cracked, but the car does have the original radio so I would give the interior a 90% . I think I did cv joints with timing belt seals when I got the car at 75 k, they did belts but not seals. So the tranny axles front and rear.... oh yes it has rear disc brake, the parts books don't have that info, you basically need X-ray ( I never said X-ray I said XT, freakin spellcheck has a mind of its own)rear pads cuz of a no disc 87 wagon listing. Those have been done, exhaust is good the tailpipe was replaced and original turbo plumbing is good, but the small water plumbing parts on the block have been done, all the super important exhaust bolts never seized so when you crack it open in another 80k you will be able to get it apart. Also a great ee20 swap candidate, anyway it cam with wagon wheels but has the mags on it from my dual ranger, the tires will need replacing as they are toast.?rear hatch is a no no won't stay u, No it's not cleaned up for pics as a matter of fact not washed since last year, no armour all or any of tha, the body pics tell the story.Ac worked at 75 k not no, needs pump.So if interested email or call 508-331-0701
