For sale: One rebel red 1989 Subaru XT6 all-wheel drive automobile. $500 or best offer. To my great sadness, I must sell her asap.
First of all, I absolutely love this car. I think unique is the best way to describe her. She's old, but wears brand new tires ($400 recent investment) that can cut through snow like a champ. In April she passed inspection, but that's not to say she doesn't come without plenty of "personality." For one, she makes a clicking sound when turning. This is due to worn axles, which will eventually need to be replaced. Her original air shocks were replaced with regular ones, the a/c compressor was taken out before I purchased her, and the power steering does not work, but in spite of this she handles really well. Lastly, the side view mirrors are cracked. But she's so beautiful in all of her imperfections.
If you have any further questions or would be interested in a test spin, please reach out. She's very solid for local driving (she loves visiting the Catskills!), but I wouldn't exactly recommend driving her to California.
Thanks,Cole
Additional Trivia:The Subaru XT6 was dubbed as the official car for the Most Valuable Player for Super Bowl XXIII in 1989, eventually won by San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jerry Rice.
