Car description |
---|
The Subaru XT GL-10 Turbo is probably one of the hardest Subarus to find - This XT is a running and driving project (it is being used as my daily driver currently, but does have a few hiccups like every vintage ride). Every once and a while, while driving it will stall and lose power - Turning it off and back on again seems to clear it up and I continue down the road. It could be a couple of different things, but I am not a mechanic so I will not speculate. Inspect before you bid if you are concerned! License plates will be removed upon sale.Clean Oregon title in MY NAME.
The car only has 89,704 miles on it. Within the last 500 miles it has received a new battery, alternator, knock sensor, coolant sensor, air filter, fuel filter, oil filter & fresh oil change. Cruise control works, all of the electronics functioning (haven't tested the cassette player), radio with telescoping antenna, trip computer, etc. Heater works (cannot verify A/C it's still cold outside here, but the compressor kicks on). Little belt squeal from the compressor when you turn the heat on, but it stops after a few minutes. The outside temperature display on the dash needs a new bulb (you can read it in direct sunlight). The door open light stays on because the passenger side is missing the little "nub" to push it in when the door is closed. The window washer sprayer tries to work, but I believe it needs a new hose. I also have some maintenance history from the previous owner. Comes with the original owners manual.
In my opinion exterior is in great shape. Some dings here and there, paint chips, usual stuff for a car of this year. There is some rust in the sunroof lip/channel which is very typical, but the rest of the car is very solid. I applied some rust reformer to try and stop it from getting any worse. Interior equally as cared for, driver seat has some cracks on the side from wear, back seat has a tear towards the top (see pictures), door panel material needs to be reglued. I think it would be safe to say it would be hard to find one this clean. The tires shown in the pictures will not come on it (they're winter studs), I have a normal set of tires that I will have swapped on prior to sale - the sweet retro hub caps will stay on the car.
The car will be sold as-is, private sale, no warranties or guarantees. Those wanting to inspect the car in person PRIOR TO BIDDING, feel free (it's located in central Oregon near Bend) just contact me. I would recommend this, it is the best way to get an idea of what you are buying!
This is a great candidatefor a restoration if you're into these classic Subies. This is probably the coolest car I have ever owned, it's too bad so few are still on the road! I would love to see this go to a home to get the attention it deserves!
