Car description

Clean Fun Subaru Classic up for grabs.
2nd Owner 40 year old car. Front Wheel Drive, 5 Speed. Runs great 35 Mpg mixed half highway half town.Alpine stereo with F&R speakers. Rear infinity kappatriaxle's. Custom dual Exhaust with two expensivecatalysts to clean it up. Electronic Ignition. Car body has over 300K miles& on third engine, but you wouldn't know it - suspension & rackis tight and nearly all has beenreplaced. Axles, bearings, calipers, rotors, ball joints, control arm bushings, sway bar bushings front & rear, struts shocks drums pads all with 50K mileage as the mileage with the 82 yearcompletely rebuilt & replacedEA-71 engine. Odometer replaced over the years just flipped again reading 00,400.0 now.
Has some issues - thebiggest is the pretty paint on roof isseparating its clear coat, the rear engine seal just won't seal in three attempts, must be my tooslick Amsoil synthetic use, Tach stopped recently, low beams quit recently, fixable certainly if you can find the loosewire, high beams do work, rain leaks into trunk due to dried old window gaskets. Cute car which everyone loves. Belongs in a museum or collectors piece. A new paint job or partial repair would make it so, and then hide from the sun or just use it as it was made for. Needs a new caregiver with shelter. Tons of parts willgo with it (rare expensive parts) if buy it now $5,000 is used, otherwise I will sell parts separately. Many parts like Hitachi carbscannot even be found anymore. Value of spareparts areat least $1,200 & I highly recommend them all to go with the new owner.
I have owned it,garaged itover five years and sunk tons of money & parts into making it reliable. Made a lot of costly mistakes by installing old dried up worn outparts acquired that were less than I was told.
I am selling because I need a car that can handle the winter carcinogen loadedroads that our government so loves to use. Call and lets discuss. It was driven to Los Angeles Sept 2015 through theArizona & Californiadesert andon the hottest day got 45 MPG- oddly never sawit do that again. It's little engine purrs.
For sale locally - reserve the right to end auction earlyif sells. Will help with any shipping arrangements buyer makes but at buyers expense. I'd drive it wherever it goes I only fear the rocks being thrown at it. Don't need help selling thanks - 505 363-6817 Jesse
