........as the car show season moves thru the last 3 years I have yet to run across another Studebaker Scotsman. This fine example has new paint body off paint job. The interior is also new. We have gone over all the mechanicals and replaced and fixed any issues. The underside is very clean.Motor is strong with no nois, xhaust is fairly new, new tires and all the braking parts inspected. The driveline is solidRecent new starter, ngine mounts and universal joints.Installed new gauges and fuel sender unit. Fuel tank is spotless insid, ery shinny metal.I have put 3000 miles ( since the restoration - total miles are about 80,000) this car in 4 months going to shows and getting all the small items repaired. I want the car to be ready for new owners so you don't have to deal with major issues.The engine compartment and trunk are color matched with new paint.This is a very good low # 2 car that can be driven on weekends to cruise nights and shows.I have all the receipts and workshop and body manuals.Most repair parts are purchased from Studebaker Internationals 300 page catalog. They have most parts for this car. Quick shipping from them.The radiator is currently out getting flow tested and cleaned .I am also getting ready to add new switches to the dash panel.Currently has an electric fuel pump with switch.I have new front arm rests in a box.There is a crack in the drivers side windshield to the far left. See pictures.No dings in the body. Little rock chip marks here and there but mostly no noticeable.No rust, o paint runs, o cracks in the body, o bad body filler crap, o bubbles in the paint.Needs a parking brake handle assembly inside the car, ll the other parking brake parts are in place. other parts are in place.Small dent in the rear bumper in the cente, ee picture.Original car did not come with a heater or ac. I only drive in nice weather, o rain.Vacuum wiper motor needs attention. May be missing a small piece of the linkage and needs wiper switch.All the locks and keys work. Radio installed and tested . Will need a new speaker. . I have the correct cover plate for the dash that takes a speaker and a clock. Delete plate in place for now.Will need a spare tire and jack.A get a lot of compliments on the car and most of the other collectors at the shows have said they have never seen this model before.Lots of wave, miles and thumbs up when this baby is on the road.Yes I would drive this car from New Jersey to California. Just remember there were no oil filter on this car so you change the oil every 1000 miles.
