If you're looking at this listing, you probably realize what this truck is. If you don't, this is a super rare pre-war Studebaker truck. It is 98% restored, with just a few small final items that the new owner can feel good about doing him or herself to bond with this beautiful truck. Here is a partial list of what has been professionally restored: steering wheel, electric wiper motor, dash cluster, 245 Big 6 engine, master cylinder and wheel cylinders, 4 correct hubcaps, wire harness, two 1938 California license plates, radiator, gas tank, wood frame in cab and doors. Paint professionally applied (unfortunately, it never went back to the painter for touch-ups, so there are a few blends and minute scratches - not the end of the world). Powder-coated frame, gas tank, drive line, rear-end housing, suspension components, including springs, wheels and drums. All new chrome. Leather seats. New correct U-joints. New tires. New glass. Was able to get original front windshield frames from the original factory (unfortunately, weather stripping is unavailable). Period-correct Studebaker tail light. Brake drums have been cut, plenty of meat left on shoes. All new fasteners, mostly grade 8. What is left to be done: windshield weather seal, headliner, probably wrong length of speedometer cable, need to change out some screws to go from Phillips head to slotted head, fuel line from gas tank is visually a little sloppy (up to you).Things that are incorrect that I knowingly did in the restoration: it has a '36-'37 front bumper, the horns are not correct vintage, homemade tail light bracket (my design and constructed by me).Unfortunately, no title, but I'm working on that. Bill of sale only, for now. It's kind of important to remember that these trucks were hand-built and didn't leave the factory in absolutely perfect condition. The gray paint is not actually a Studebaker color, but rather a Mercury color from the late 40's called "Rotunda Gray." Having said that, Studebaker would have painted any vehicle any color for an extra fee.Feel free to ask any questions or if you want specific photos.Although the vehicle pick-up or shipping is up to you, I am perfectly willing to assist in any way I can. The truck can be stored in present location for up to 2 months.I will miss this truck, but it's time to send her down the road. Thanks.
