Car description |

The Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk was a sporty two door coupe that was sold between 1962 and 1964. The car's designers were inspired by high-end European luxury models from their premier design houses. The car had a longer leaner look over Ford's popular Thunderbird and Chevrolet's mass-produced impala. 1962 had some major reworks for a sleek European look. The Hawk had style points over anything the big-three had to offer at that time, and their limited production ensures their rarity and collectability.
Gr Auto Gallery is pleased to present this stunning 1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk for consideration. Finished in Studebaker Blaze Red over a black interior this Hawk is a real attention grabber. According to the owner the car went through a frame off restoration about 10 years ago. The motor was gone through as well and has had about 1000 miles on it since completion. The 289 cubic-inch V8 is equipped with the optional 4-barrel carburetor and is mated to a Flight-O-Matic automatic transmission. The trim shines bright and shows excellent. Inside the cabin the seats, carpet, dash and especially the headliner are all in great shape.
This 1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk is a gorgeous example of the quality cars that came from Studebaker. Evermore rare, a Hawk in this condition won't last long on the market.
