My 1990 Avanti Touring Sedan is a beautiful, ultra rare touring sedan that is in excellent condition inside and out. It is one of only 90 Avanti sedans ever produced and it is number 82 in production of those 90 built.It was manufactured in Youngstown, Ohio in June 1990 andwas taken right off the production line by then Avanti Corporation owner, John J. Cafaro for his collection and personal use. It was never titled or registered as it was driven on manufacturers plates. A few years later this Avanti was given to Ohio Congressman James Traficant in the form of a bribe which later led to Traficant's seven year indictment. The politically connected trucking and storage facility that stored the Avanti was the first ever to apply for a title in 2002.For this reason it was branded as an "Unclaimed Affidavit" and the mileage though 4500 ACTUAL had to be labeled as Non-Actual on the title. I have made copies of that title. When Traficant was released from jail and wanted to collect his 2 cars in storage he was hit with astronomical storage fees which he refused to pay. I purchased the Avanti from the collector that acquired both the Corvette and Avanti from the trucking company.
Other than a few scratches and stone chips the Avanti is like brand new. The Avanti is completely original with only 5915 original miles. During the collector's ownership it has had an oil service, temperature sensor and added four brand new Vogue tires installed. It still is sitting on it's original factory Ultra wheels.He also put a Kenwood Bluetooth stereo receiver and remote alarm. Everything is working perfectly including all power windows, locks, seats and ice cold A/C and hot heat.
There were many numerous items that needed attention and needed to be fixed when I purchased the car from the collector. All have been fixed. I have put in new spark plugs and a new starter solenoid as well.
This is a truly unique vehicle that gets attention and compliments wherever I have taken it. It has the look of a high end exotic but the maintenance of a 1990 Chevrolet Caprice Classic which is the donor chassis, drivetrain and allelectrical components.

I put a lot of time and money into the Avanti as well as purchasing a lot of memorabilia for the Avanti which will be included. The beige leather interior islavish and like brand new. It was never smoked in and still smells like new inside. Itis all original right down to the original carpet. The dash and gauge cluster is very bright and clean with all its original wood grain that is in excellent shape. Everything works in the car. It even has rear, wood grain trays in the back seat. Inside the trunk is very clean and original with its original spare.
The Avanti runs and drives excellent. It has its 5.0L Chevrolet V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission. It does not leak or smoke. The car runs and drives great just like a low mile car should. The air conditioning blows ice cold. This car is true pleasure to drive. Under the hood is original and all correct. It is turnkey and ready to cruise.
