1954 Studebaker Commander V8 Sedan

You are bidding on a 1954 Studebaker Commander V8 Sedan. If you want a nice Commander, this car has a V8, Automatic Transmission and Power Steering making it a very comfortable ride.

This is a very solid rust-free Studebaker that the original owner restored at some point with newer paint, carpet, white wall tires, exhaust and a NOS unstamped replacement engine.

The interior is nice with a great looking dash and green tinted windows that complement the color of the car.

This car was purchased and used in 2017 for a Movie with Jeff Goldblum and Tye Sheridan in "THE MOUNTAIN” that was filmed at various locations across the U.S. until finishing in WA. where we were contacted by the movie producer to sell it to us rather than transport it back to the east coast.

It started to develop a knocking noise during the final filming, so when we bought it, we have only driven it a couple times. There is a possibility that the transmission flex plate is cracked (happens when replacement engines are not correctly centered), or some fairly minor issue, but pricing it as a rod knock.

It has some oil pan and transmission pan fluid leakage as well, but overall is a great car to fix and enjoy. It was repainted once, but has a worn spot on roof and very few minor nicks in the paint, but otherwise straight and very presentable.

Trunk is solid and still has original mat and nice spare tire. Previous owner installed new weather seals added a manual choke cable and wired for a modern radio in glove box. Please look closely at pictures and bid accordingly.
