1963 AVANTI R2

1963 Studebaker Avanti, R2 Supercharged, 4 speed

This is a one owner car from an estate with the original title. Original window sticker. All original paint.

This has never been damaged. The doors, hood and trunk fit as they did from the factory. The glass is still clear. The chrome has held up well for 56 years old. The rubber moldings are still soft.This has checking in some areas with touch up and the drivers rear quarter panel has stains from gas spilling on the quarter panel. A good paint shop can blend the rear quarter with lacquer paint. It would be nice to retain as much of the original paint as possible. The underside has no serious rust and the hog troughs are solid.

The interior is all original except we replaced the drivers seat cover and the carpets. The instruments all work properly. The dash lights, back up lights, horn, turn signals, brake lights, tail lights, head lights, wipers and interior lights work. The radio does not play. It is missing the door key.

The motor starts and runs smoothly. The 4 speed shifts well. The power brakes work fine. We had the supercharger sent to John Erb in Carson City, Nevada and he rebuilt it with a high-performance impellor. It has remarkable power.

This has 5 new tires. Very complete. Delivery and owner's manual. An ultimate survivor.
