Car description |

1959 Studebaker Scotsman Pickup truck. Build Sheet and Certificateof Authenticity from Studebaker come with this truck.
This truck spent most of its life on a ranch in Deming NM. In that arid environment it existed rust free. It was repainted and refurbished in the early 2000's and used as a parade car in Deming NM, until its purchase by the current owner who moved it to VA.
This truck is equally comfortable "stealing the show" at local "cars and coffee" gatherings as it is hauling mulch from Home Depot. All original body parts, engine and drive train. The engine runs like a sewing machine and starts every time. This is not a concours' edition truck, but it looks pretty darn good. Good enough to parade or display at car shows on Saturday, but practical enough to still drive and use as a real pickup on Sunday. The interior was redone at the time of restoration and still looks great today. The ODO shows 802 miles, but was replaced when it was restored. Actual milage is unknown, but believed relatively low since used almost exclusively on a ranch. The speedo also displays a lower speed than actually traveling (off by about 30%), but the truck will run up to about 55~ mph. Fuel gauge does not work.
This truck is a local favorite and always draws crowds either at the car show or Home Depot. Being sold with a heavy heart.
No reserve. Cash or certified check are the only form of accepted payment. The vehicle will not be released for pickup or shipping until the full purchase price has been paid and cleared. Seller reserves the right to reject bids from those with zero or negative feedback.
