Car description |
---|
259 V8, 3spd w/overdrive. Professionally applied 2stage paint on amazingly rust free original. Not one pinhole on the entire car. Won first place at SDC International Meet BEFORE car was painted, original paint was that good. Work done on the car: new rear axle bearings and seals, new front wheel bearings and seals, new brake lines and hoses, gas tank flushed and sealed, new fuel sending unit, lines and hoses, carb and fuel pump rebuilt by Dave T., valves adjusted, new intake and valve cover gaskets, new rear main seal, new shocks and front end alignment, generator rebuilt by Vintage Voltage, N.O.S. starter, new overdrive relay, Pertronix ignition with new correct plugs, wires and distributor cap, new radiator and heater hoses, new stainless steel dual exhaust with quiet mufflers, new Hankook 275-15 radial tires, new stock wheel covers. Complete new interior following original design pattern, color changed to match exterior Taupe Mettalic over Arctic White paint. New interior includes: dynamat floor insulation, front kick panels, rear shelf panel, panel behind rear seat, door panels, headliner, windlace, seats from the springs up and seat belts installed. Cruise the highway comfortably up to 70mph.
Everything works...lights, gauges, etc. Completely stock and factory correct.

To put things in perspective, I purchased the car in 2013 for $2500. The paintwork cost $10,700, interior $6500, generator $300, starter $250, carb and fuel pump restoration $425, exhaust and rear main seal work $900,etc., etc. I don't expect to recoup anywhere near my investment in costs, parts and my labor. Someone is going to get a great car at a very reasonable price. The reserve is set to allow it to sell.

Compare to 57 President also offered on Ebay.....Photo #6 President's paint showing orang peel, hood and trunk moulding center medallions appear original and faded. Medallions on mine are both new.

Now that the 57 President, listing #1835 9824 1967 has sold for $7650, and given the better paint job and work done to all the major electrical, fuel, and brake systems of my car.....mine has to be conservatively worth AT LEAST $2500 more.
