Car description |
---|
For sale is a 1949 Studebaker R5 short wheelbase truck. The truck is sitting on a 1989 K1500 drivetrain. The cab is in great shape and there are a ton of parts in various conditions. See the pictures of the cab corners. It even has the key to the door lock and ignition. Have a set of 245/70/17 tires to go with it for $50. The TH350 is included in the sale. It was in the truck when it was on a 2WD Chevy frame and I don't need it. The engine was long gone. Comes with E-Z chassis generic swap kit. Same one used to put early Chevys on S10 frames. Includes bed mounts, brackets, etc.
The cab is mounted but the bed is not. I trailered it here with ratchet straps, but if you need to ship it you will need to talk to the carrier.
Definitely a rare find that I am reluctant to let go but I need the garage space for my son's project. You really have to see it to appreciate it. I could probably tow it a few hundred miles for a reasonable amount to cover my expenses.
The truck was originally a Nebraska farm truck last titled in the 70s. Will be sold on bill of sale. I may be interested in VW beetle or first gen Camaro / Firebird parts as partial trades. Doesn't hurt to ask about it.
Feel free to contact me with questions.
