Thank you for looking at our 1949 classic Studebaker Champion. This car has 56K actual miles (listed on title). The title is clean. If you've ever driven one of these cars before, they are absolutely amazing. The way they, drive, ride and handle, compared to other cars like Chevy, Ford or Chryslers is a totally different feel. The 6 cylinder runs so quiet that if you didn't hear a motor running, you'd think there was nothing running. It shifts through the gears easily and smoothly. It also has a button you can pull for overdrive when you're going over 55 MPH. All you need to do is put the clutch back in and pull the overdrive button. At some point in time, this car was updated with a newer paint job. That could have been 10 or 20 years ago, I have no idea. But it still looks great. So does the chrome.
The windows are all in good shape, and I believe all options on this car work, including the windshield wipers. It also has turn signals, I don't know if that was an add on or factory, since I was not around in 1949! But I know my 1949 Chevy does not have turn signals, so who knows. The Ford tires probably have about 1,000 miles on them. Everything on this car has either been updated or replaced to run as well as it does. The carpeting in the back of the car has a carpet and a mat on each side. If you take them out you just have carpeting, because that's how well someone is trying to protect this car. I'm sure you can see by now that the trunk looks nearly brand new, and there's an owner's manual and a work manual that comes in the trunk of the car. The motor looks just as nice as it did when it was new. The underneath of the vehicle is all solid with a little flaking. Most people selling a car like this rustproof everything to look brand new.I want the buyer to see what they're actually buying and to see what this car actually is, and if he or she wants to sandblast it and coat so it lasts another 70 years, they have that option.
Please check out the dash on this car, because its unbelievable for a car to be this old and in such nice condition. As said in the beginning of the ad, this is probably one of the nicest ones you'll find around that hasn't been customized or had a frame-off restoration to make the car look as nice as this one does. Please stop by and drive it if you can. If not, the 160 + pictures below may help you a lot to appreciate the quality of this vehicle. If you're looking for a really nice, mostly all original Studebaker with 56K miles that are actual that you can drive home anywhere in the United States no matter where you live, this car is perfect for you. You can bring it car shows and let other people enjoy the car as well.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL BIDDERS!
