You are bidding on a 1957 Studebaker Silver Hawk. The car is in running/driving condition.


Exterior: The paint is in very good/excellent condition with some minor imperfections on the doors and fenders. The hood paint shows some imperfections in a raking light and has a slight rough feel in areas.Paint in side grilles appearsto be a flat/matte finish. Brightwork is in excellent shape. Headlamp rims are new, fender lamps and sidegrilleshave very minor pitting. Grille is in excellent condition.Fender emblems are not installed, but are included in the sale. Side mouldings show some minor dings, but are in very good condition.


Interior: Interior is in excellent condition and appears to have been reupholstered recently.Gauge bezels show some rust pits. Dash has aftermarket striping added and a modern radio. Sill plates appear original and show some wear and tear and corrosion. Door panels, kick panels shown some minor wear. Driver's side armrest missing attaching screw. Passenger side door window does not roll up and down easily.


Mechanical: The car is equipped with its factory 289 V8, four-barrel carburetor, automatic transmission and power steering. Car starts right and carries good oil pressure at idle (see pictures). Car has small exhaust leak - believed to be manifold to pipe flange. Heater core has leak, and is disconnected. Brakes redone by previous owner.Gas gauge does not work. Runs anddrivesnicely! Has standard Studebaker oil leaks. Backup lights do not work.


Structural:Caris verysolid - frame andfendersare in very good/excellent condition.Trunk corners appear tohave been repaired previously (see pictures).
