Car description |

I am selling a unique nostalgic drag car. One would consider it a gasser and others an altered since the rear endhas been moved up 6 inches along with the straight axle being moved up 3.5 inches. The car was body worked and painted in 2011. The drivetrain was new in 2015 along with the 12 point cage. The car turns lots of heads at the drag strips and gets a lot of thumbs up. The fastest 1/4 mile time is 10.40s at 127-130 mph but the car could probably see 10.30s. It maybe has 30 passes on drivetrain if that. This car is ready to race! Here is a list of what the car has on it.
The body has Dupont Chroma Premier basecoat and clearcoat along with hand lettering by Joshua Shaw with the hand lettering on fenders done by Brandon Bowling. It has a custom made one piece fiberglass front end. Everything else is the original steel. The interior has custom aluminum door panels, a plastic buggy style seat with RJS 5 point harness that is good until July of 2019.
The engine is a Dart Block 400 sbc, Aluminum 2.08 Profiler Heads, Comp Cam, 12.5:1 Compression Carillo Pistons, Holleyhigh rise intake, and Holley 950cfm carburetor.
Transmission is a 4 speed Jericho with a 2.93 first gear along with a Long shifter, Clutch is a Ram fully adjustable with a Ram aluminum flywheel. It does have a blow-proof bellhousingwith a hydraulic slave cylinder that works great.
It has a 9 inch Ford rear end with a Strange center sectionwith 5.13 gears with a full spool and 35 spline Strange axles, along with GM style rear disc brakes. Has a set of homemade ladder bars and it has original leaf springs with a floater kit.
Front axle is a Speedway tube axle with early ford spindles along with Willwood drag racing front disc brakes.Wheels that will come with the car are the 15x8.5 rear 5 spokes and the NEW 15x4.5 front CragarS/S along with 30x10 M/T Drag Radials out back and NEW coker 5.60 Pro-Trac front-runners.
The buyer is in charge of the pickup or delivery of the car. The car is located in Port Huron, Michigan.
