Car description |

1926 Studebaker standard 6 roadster.
Owned by the previous owner for 57 years this standard 6 roadster is in lovely condition. The engine runs well, it has a 3 speed manual transmission, 4 wheel assisted brakes, etc.
The body paint is two tone green, with black fenders, and displays well. The upholstery has been redone in tan, with matching tan top. I have recently had the radiator shell rechromed, with the rest of the chrome presentable, with a few minor blemishes.
Yesterday I covered over 120 miles in the roadster with no problems. The water pump gland could do with repacking but that is about all.
This car is equipped with the rare option of front wheel brakes. In 1926 these cars were supplied as standard with just rear external contracting bands, an optional extra was the front internal brakes, which are operated through a pump in the transmission. This has all been rebuilt and works.
Most of the gauges work, with the exception of the speedometer.
A lovely car for touring or local parades. It is currently located in the UK, after I shipped it here from California. Mark Huston, from the antique studebaker club, inspected the vehicle prior to me buying it from the owner of 57 years in California. I can help with transporting the car to the docks, for shipping back to the USA or anywhere else in the world. Shipping is the responsibility and cost of the buyer.
Payment must be received by bank transfer in full prior to the shipping of the vehicle. A $500 deposit via PayPal is required within 24hours of the end of the auction.
