Up for bid with NO RESERVE is a VERY RARE 1956 Studebaker Transtar Pick Up V8 with 3 speed on the column with overdrive. Truck is in excellent shape to be 61 years old. Has the original motor and transmission. Runs and drives great. Transmission shifts great and overdrive works as it should. Truck has some rust (shown in pics) but very little considering its age. Still has original paint underneath the black in places where the weather did not fade it away. All the glass is in it. The windows roll up and down great. Overall it is a very solid truck and a joy to drive. As far as the paint job, it was painted black when i purchased it several years ago. I started sanding and found some of the original paint and liked the look of it through the black and left it that way.It has new master cylinder, steel brake lines, and rubber hoses going to the wheel cylinders, the front two wheel cylinders and brake shoes are new also. I have the original radiator for the truck, that has a small pinhole, but i haven't had the time to have it repaired, so i found a radiator that would fit just so i could drive the truck on occasion. The seat is original and is not in great shape as far as the covering, but the frame and springs are. The fuel tank originally was mounted behind the seat, the previous owner removed it to make more room in the cab and mounted a fuel cell in the bed of the truck. I also have an original service manual and a parts manual that are in very good shape, the service manual has some documentation of things that have been done to the truck over the years for this truck that will go with it at time of sale. Winning bidder should arrange to have the truck picked up from my location. Please feel free to ask any questions and if you would like to see a pic of anything in particular, let me know. Truck will be sold with a Bill Of Sale. Thank you and good luck!!
