As I said in the ad,this truck has been in storage for many years so you will need to either rebuild this engine,or replace it.These engines are actually not that hard to find because Studebaker used them for years and used them in a lot of cars and trucks.guy's usually pull them and replace with a v-8,or put the body on a newer truck frame.I've seen one on a ford LTD frame which gave it a nice low stance and handled like a car.The truck needs floor pans which they sell online and a paint job. I have two good extra fenders for this truck.I will post more pictures later.A lot of people don't know this but the front and rear fenders are interchangeable and so are the running boards. These trucks are few and far between, and are difficult to find that are affordable.I know of one in Kentucky for sale that isn't in near as good shape as this one.I drove a long ways to get this one but I am now retired and need to thin the herd because I don't have the room anymore.
I wasn't quite ready to let go of this truck because I hadn't put the engine back in it yet. The engine was stuck,so I pulled it,freed the cylinders up,bought new rings and rod bearings and head gasket for it but haven't put them in it yet.I'm going to leave that up to the new owner in case you want to change engines. The truck also needs a radiator. They sell aluminum radiators made to fit.I am going to post this truck in Indiana,Ohio and Kentucky's Craigslist this weekend. So if you don't see the truck on here the next time you look, that means it sold local.Thank you,and good Luck! Danny.
I found a couple places on the internet that sold floor pans for this truck in just a few minutes.I'm sure there are others, and their like $60.00 or do like we did in the old days,Throw a stop sign in there and forget about it!
