Too many cars—not enough room
This Hawk is not perfect, but close to it with some TLC, it can be show quality!
Equipped with a 289 V8 and a 3 speed automatic transmission, 4 BBL carburetor, with Twin Traction rear axle, this Hawk drives out really smooth. The dual glass packs and stock tips, really give it a nice throaty sound. This car has had a new Edelbrock 4 bb, looks just like the original Carter, complete new brakes including master cylinder and rebuilt power booster. Front disc brakes come standard with this car, and drums on the rear. Power steering has been completely overhauled and sealed. Radio original Studebaker, has been upgraded to am/fm with an audio jack for playing Iphone/ Ipad music. Just installed new Vintage Air conditioning system that will freeze you out. Transmission has been resealed, except the front seal does leak some, but the transmission shifts solid and no slipping. In addition, a new turn signal cancel switch has been added (Avanti) type. Spare tire appears to be the original, still holds air. The jack is complete and all lights work, even the turn signal lights on the front fenders. (I’m a nut for details). Car has been fitted with a new fuel pump and an electric fuel pump as a backup.
The interior has been completely done by the previous owner with appears to be original type style, it is a cloth seat and the passenger seat has a headrest. Floor mats are Studebaker and carpets are in excellent condition. I installed a cup holder in front of the console, painted to match. Headlight switch is new, as is the ignition switch, all matching the door locks, so the car can be secured. All glass is perfect with one small rock chip. I have an original window sticker that comes with the car, as does the original carb, air cleaner, and maybe a few small items. Tires are new, less than 1000 miles, hubcaps are perfect. Dual point distributor also.
With a quality paint job and some small chrome items, this car could be the best one in your driveway.

Although the mileage I have entered is 100,000 miles, the actual speedometer reads 45875 miles. I cannot validate this to be accurate, so you can make your own judgement accordingly. I can say the car is very tight, no rattles.
