1955 STUDEBAKER Top-of-the-line REGAL COMMANDER with the wrap around windshield, optional fog lights, cigarette lighter, interior lighting AND AM Radio ! WOW !
Starts right up even in the dead of winter ! It's a flat head six with a one barrel carb so its not a sports car but it IS a head turning Main street cruiser. Very Solid Body with zero rot and just a few little surface rust spots beginning around the window frames and side chrome moldings. No signs of bondo anywhere. The trunk is in amazingly great condition. ZERO rust ! Even down in the tire well its clean !
Mileage shows as 41 thousand but we can realistically assume its at least once around. Maybe, maybe not. Car IS in excellent condition.
6 Volt positive ground system with a new battery bought at a local auto parts store. (Yeah, They actually had one in stock !) Floors are solid, very good carpet, ( previous owner had several layers of mats across the floors. ) seats are near perfect, headliner is excellent. The clear gear selector display on the steering column is broken off but still readable. Should be an easy find. About the only thing that isn't original are a new coil, new voltage regulator ( correct new old stock ) plug wires, brake pads & wheel cylinders. Original Radio doesn't work, nor does the original dash clock. The undercarriage does have rust and should be attended. The paint appears to be the correct original color. The paint is excellent but the front cowl is painted and I think they were originally chrome so its possibly a repaint or at least a partial repaint.
If your local to Philly and want to take a test drive or eyeball inspection, feel free to email me but include a good contact phone number as I dont just hand out my address without speaking in person first. If you want to fly in or bus it, train whatever I will be happy to pick you up at the station, I'll even treat you to a Philly lunch, Cheesesteaks ! If you don't come and inspect before bidding it doesn't mean you have any right to later haggle or complain. Winning buyer is just that, the BUYER, not first dibs on inspecting and negotiating. There will be none of that. A $500 deposit via PayPal within 48 hours of close is REQUIRED before we make pickup arrangements. No Exceptions. If you can't comply with my terms, don't bid ! Sorry but I have to be this way. Wayyyyyy too many clowns playing games with eBay auctions. And it costs us the sellers, time, money and aggravation. I'm not a nasty guy, just lots of past experience on here. Thanks for understanding.
International Buyers: I will assist in loading or getting to the nearest port ( for a fee ) but YOU will have to make/pay for all the arrangement yourself, I will not accept a Nigerian check with extra that you want me to pay for the transporter ( old scam, not going for it. )

On Dec-31-16 at 07:27:52 PST, seller added the following information:
FYI, It's was brought to my attention by one of the bidders that this is a CHAMPION not a Commander. I knew that, was just having a brain fart while listing it, sorry !, LOL If this changes your interest in the car you can withdraw your bid NOW before close of the auction. Don't wait until after the auction is over and you are the winner and try to use it as an excuse. There are DAYS until this closes so there is plenty of tie to back out. This additional information is time stamped so any bids after this are with your knowledge of the change. Thanks for understanding.
