*** You need to check with your state's DMV and make sure you can obtain a title for this vehicle PRIOR to placing a bid. Alabama law does not require titles for vehicles 35+ years old therefore it does not have a title and will only come with a bill of sale. *** *** NO RESERVE!!! ****** There is a slideshow with more detailed pics at the bottom of the auction. ***1964 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk.Originally the car appears to be burgundy with black interior. I believe the seats have been recovered. The motor and transmission are missing but originally it came with a 289ci V8. I'm not sure if this was an 2V or 4V car or an automatic or a manual. Other than the motor and transmission, ll of the trim and chrome appears to be there. There were 1767 of these cars built in 1964 making it pretty rare. This car originally had the "Sports Roof" vinyl top which makes it even MORE rare. I believe the trunk lid is from an earlier Hawk. Its rotten at the bottom and will need to be replaced. The passenger side turn signal is from a 1962. I have a 1964 one that will come with the car. The drivers side is missing completely. The hood is warped and rusted and will need to be replaced. Same with the grille. The body is pretty straight but there are holes in the fenders and doors (see pics). The quarters look ok. Also, he roof has been fiberglassed at one time where the vinyl top used to be. This will have to be sanded down and some hand-size patches put in at least one spot in the center. This car will need new floor pans in the front. It also will need drivers side rocker repair (see pics). The trunk has been fiberglassed. I'm not sure if it will need more work or not. It looks ok from the top.The glass looks good except for the windshield. The bumpers look good and just need the dings hammered out and rechromed. The frame looks solid from what I could see from the top but I have not crawled under it to do a full inspection. Most of the trim is there, 1964 Hawk turn signal housing, he drivers side taillight, driveshaft, nd various other parts.I have included some pics of other 1964 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawks to show what this car could be when restored. Check them out.Let me know if you have any questions.
