Car description |
---|
Auction is for a 1963 Studebaker Lark, door sedan. This car is the body style 63V-Y6 which means a 1963 model with a V8 engine and the custom trim package.
Car needs nothing to be availableimmediatelyto drive and enjoy.
Engine number shows this to be a Studebaker 289 cubic inch engine. Engine has a 2 barrel carburetor and is equipped with dual exhaust. I just installed a new right side exhaust system. I also replaced the fuel pump and installed an electric fuel pump as a back up located near the gas tank.
Engine starts right up and car drives very well. Transmission shifts smooth and car drives down the road great.
No unusually noises or problems. Brakes work fine.
Car odometer shows 82,888 miles. Title was issued in 1989 showing a mileage of 80,292. Which works out to about 100 miles per year since 1989. I'm familiar with this car since I was a friend of the previous owner and the car was always garaged and received the best of care when anything was needed. Car was started about once a month and kept covered up when not in use in a garage.
Interior appears to be original and is in good condition. Headliner is in good condition, o sagging. Seats to not have any tears but vinyl is a little hard, specially rear seats.
Door panels look good and appear to be original.
I believe this car was repainted over 25 years ago but not sure. Paint is still good and shines. Only area showing any rust is the passenger side lower front fender.
There's also some repairs down to drip rail in trunk. see last picture. Rest of the body is rust free and frame is solid with no rust.
This is a very nice original Studebaker ready to be used and enjoyed with many more miles left.
