You are looking at a 1967 Shelby GT500 that is probably one of the most original cars in the world. Original as in never been restored, factory original paint, original interior, and most importantly the original 428 2x4 PI engine, 4 speed toploader, and 31 spline 9” SPEC case rearend.

This car runs and drives just like you think a 1967 GT500 does. It starts easily, idles great, and runs very strong and is a blast to drive.

This car was sold new in Denver Colorado and that is where it remained until December, 2020. The last registration sticker on the car is 1981, but it was officially taken off the road, drove into a building, put on jack stands, and never drove again until January 2021 after it was fully serviced, and inspected and freshened up. The story on the car is great, and luckily I was speaking to the lady who owned the car so I got all the facts, all the documents, and the great experience of listening to her talk about the car.

The documentation on this car is incredible. Original owner’s manual, Shelby registry paperwork, Sounds of Shelby record sleeve, service records, and even records of every gas fill-up handwritten in books, which will all be passed to the new owner.

Every panel on the car has been checked for paint thickness and every panel and the GT500 stripes are all original.

The car has its original 10 spoke spare in the trunk with the Goodyear Speedway tire, as well as the original trunk mat.

The car its original Shelby American VIN tag that has never been tampered with, as well as the original Shelby VIN stamp on the passenger side shock tower.

This car was built at Shelby American at their LAX facility on April 12th, 1967.

Now, I will breakdown the car for you.

The car has no rust or rot. It was been gone over with a fine tooth comb. Please let the 341 picture in the link above show you the integrity of the paint and undercarriage.

The paint does have some touchups, and chips. Front nose has heavy chipping. Hood and trunk lid has some paint cracking. Again, look at the pictures and video. Side Marker lights were added in the early 70’s due to a Colorado state law. I guess the owner at the time felt the need to add them I was told. Rust free trunk floor pans, rust free frame rails, rust free floor pans, the entire car is rust free. Tunnel was slightly cut for a different shifter but I have the two pieces that were cut out (the owner kept them) and they could easily be fit back into place. Car has some corrosion on the passenger side rear lower rocker and quarter. Something must have been on it before it was parked and they ate away at it over 34 years. Could easily be spotted in. It’s not rust, something deteriorated the paint from the outside, not the inside. Couple dings here and there. It’s an all original car from 1967.

Interior:

All original interior and for an all original Shelby from 1967 it’s in amazing condition.
