Car description |

This is 1965 Shelby Cobra Superformance MkIII is a serious speed machine with best in everything you need in a Cobra. It has all the right pieces, including a performance-built V8, strong five-speed, fully-independent suspension, and a race-ready style over every inch. It's such an authentic track star that Carroll Shelby signed the dash!
The Superformance MkIII cars are the only Cobra replicas built under license from Shelby. That's why they have such an authentic appearance. Of course, it only gets better with one that was completed in the classic blue with white racing stripe livery. There are even roundels for you to put your racing number. In fact, this one has all the right rack-ready components, like the quick jack bumpers, stainless steel roll hoop, proper side pipes, and Halibrand-style wheels with proper knock-off hubs. So while plenty of Cobras are attractive, this one is irresistible for having the kind of attitude and appearance of a car that knows how to dominate the racetrack.
Part of being a correct car means a competition-style interior. That's why you'll find authentic pieces inside, including leather bucket seats, racing belts, and a wood and chrome sports steering wheel. You'll even love the details, like how the gearstick is correctly bent forward and the full set of Smiths gauges with the reversed speedo in the center. And of course, Carroll Shelby's actual signature is on the glovebox! But while some Cobras have been done for some sunny track day afternoons, you can tell this one has a few of the right extra to offer you more. The full convertible top w/side curtains and the heater are the kind of things you want when you're the kind of person who actually drives yourself to the track first thing in the morning. This also hints at the level of usefulness that makes this one so unique.
Under the hood is a Ford Motorsports crate 351ci V8. But that long Roush air topper also signals that there has been a deeper investment in power. The masters at Roush and Time Machines Motorsports have created a 358 cubic-inch powerhouse that's includes a Crower camshaft, Crane Fireball HI-6 digital ignition, Cobra Valley HotSwap setup, MSD Pro-Billet distributor, ribbed Cobra valve covers, Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap intake, and topped with a Quick Fuel 750 CFM Black Diamond Q-Series four-barrel carburetor. And the header-fed side pipes love to announce this performance build. All this power is at your command thanks to the a newer Tremec TKO600 close-ratio five-speed manual transmission that's built for power, including a McLeod scatter shield. It's a strong motor that knows how to run right. That's because this is a one-owner machine that has been driven year-round since it was built in 2002. And what you should really take away from that is that this one was setup and maintained to be more than just a weekend tinkering project. She loves to run! Superformance builds a strong chassis, and to that they added exactly what you want in an all-around performance driver. This includes heavy duty mounts for the fully independent suspension, sway bars front & rear, QA1 shocks, adjustable coilovers, and Wilwood disc brakes at each corner.
There's so much more to go over on this serious performance build, that you should really call for all the details. We'll even go through the paperwork, including the build receipts, dealer invoice, original bill of sale, owner's manual, maintenance records, service manuals, and Shelby certification. Big power, great control, and a strong running total package headline this Cobra, but it's the details that will really clinch it for you. So don't let this distinct legend slip away. This vehicle is titled as a 2005 Custom. Call now!
