1969 Shelby GT-350 Fastback Grabber Orange 4 Spd. 1 owner for 50 years !
We are extremely happy to have this wonderful "Survivor" GT-350...a 1 owner car for the last 50 years. We are privlaged to have had the opportunity to acquire this 1 of a kind all original Museum Piece from a good friend of ours, Johnny Cyrill. He has been the caretaker over the last 7 years of this wonderful Shelby # 482551, that his Dad bought new in 1970. We have waited patiently for Johnny to part w/his baby & committed to it w/out hesitation. Purchased by Frank Cyrill in 1970 from a Dealer in Niagra Falls New York. It was at a dealer going bankrupt & 5 Shelbys sat unsold (4 GT-500's & his GT-350). It was over $5,000. & frank grabbed it for only $3600. while replacing his '62 Galaxie 390 4 Spd. with this cool '69 GT-350 w/its potent 351/290 HP motor & Grabber Orange paint option. It has the std. Black High Back Seat interior w/a factory 4 Spd; tilt-away wheel, T-Lok & no A/C. It's 1 of only 8 ever produced in this color & option combo...certainly the best one left. It is a true "Survivor" having 100% of its original paint, interior, engine bay, trunk & still sports every sticker & paint marking from day 1 back in May 1969. Its an amazing site to behold when studying its all original now 2-tone hues of Orange between fade over time to its Fiberglass vs. Steel painted body parts. Frank & his family moved at least 5 times between New York & his final destination in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Frank actually put the Shelby inside the Moving Van every time they moved not to ad miles to his baby. He drove it weekly for about 5 years removing its original wheels & Polyglas tires during the winters running another set during those months. Notice the 4 original Goodyears on the car & they're not even cracked nor weather checked. Finally Frank decided to retire it & use it infrequently for the next 37 years. It was always garaged, driven once every month & maintained very properly. He was not a fan of showing it off & always put up w/Shelby fans & their inquisitivness at every gas station. This is a rare occasion to learn what these late model Shelby's were like when delivered new. It is truly like having a "Rolling Research Lab" on the correct restoration process for one to study & replicate. We will photograph it completely from top to bottom to memorilize this moment in time. We want to enjoy having this beauty in our showroom & showing it off at a few events. Anyone interested wanting to inspect her are free to come by & make a realistic offer. May consider some nice trades towards a few different Euro Sports Cars or Exotic Cars both vintage & modern. I am representing this gorgeous dead original 1969 Shelby GT-350 I have taken a large number of pictures to show the quality of this perfect original...
