Car description

1965 Factory Five Cobra Mark II Roadster Replica Rare Yellow 302 Ford Racing Crate Motor

“And now for something completely different” – when was the last time that you saw a Cobra replica without racing stripes and in YELLOW? I am pleased to offer this very cool 1965 Factory Five Cobra Mark II Roadster replica. This monster of a Cobra was built in 2004 and has approx. 9990 miles on the chassis. In 2008, a new Ford Factory Racing 302 crate motor (with side pipes) was installed. That motor only has approx. 850 miles on it since being installed. This beauty was professionally built by Whitby Motorcars of North Carolina, a well respected Cobra builder (not built by a privateer in his garage). VIN # is FFR3744K.

This Cobra features:

– Disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear – Tubular A arm suspension – Cool over shocks – Tonneau cover – Convertible top (does not fit perfectly) – Slider Style windows (do not fit perfectly) – Holly 4 barrel – Titled as a 1965 Ford roadster – Vinyl interior – Simpson racing harnesses – Side pipes painted in high temperature black paint – Wheels are painted with spinners and lugs nuts powder coated – 7.5 quart aluminum Cobra oil pan ($800 option) Video Links:

According to the owner:

The owner reports that at local Cobra gatherings, this car really stands out (I can imagine!!). In a sea of white cars with blue stripes, this one certainly demands a lot of attention.

Personal Impressions:

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and seeing the car on 3/21/20. I photographed, videotaped and enjoyed a spirited ride in this beauty. The car showed very well. It was recently professionally detailed and looked fantastic (topside and underside). Excellent attention to detail throughout.

The car is currently running on race fuel but can also run on premium pump gas. Started right up and rumbled until warm. Our ride was very smooth and this Cobra pulled very strongly and certainly told the neighbors that we were out for a spin. Overall, I was very impressed with the car. The power and sound were there, the appearance was very strong with the yellow exterior offset by the beautiful black side pipes with matching black wheels. No curb rash noted and no chips noted in the paint.
