Car description |
---|
1965 Shelby Cobra by Superformance! Tons of attention to detail was invested into this vehicle to make it look as authentic as possible! The radiator fan covers themselves were $400. The car is equipped with Knock-Off Wheels, the correct Smith gauges, cloth top and window skirts, cockpit cover, etc. The plumbing has also been paid attention to with black hoses and fittings that look a lot less 1980's than those equipped with the more common red/blue/stainless equipment.
The interior is equipped with leather seats, AC pedals, wooden Cobra steering wheel, authentic shifter, etc. The engine is an aluminum headed 460 that has been on the dyno and made 550 horsepower and 540 ft-lb of torque. Connected to the Tremec 5-Speed and independent 3.73 rear, the car is amazingly fast, yet still very street friendly and easy to drive. Plenty of low and mid-range... as well as top end power! Much care has been provided to make it appear as period correct as possible. The induction, valve covers, fuel log, etc make the engine look a lot like an original FE 427. Engine runs cool, and the car can be driven anywhere! The Wilwood brakes slow it down very quickly!
For higher resolution photos and details, please call me at (304) 481-4941 or email davidcoe48@hotmail.com I work during the day, but will be able to return your correspondence in the evenings. The reason for the sale, is I have the urge to build a 1965-66 Mustang for open track events. If you have a possible candidate, we could discuss a partial trade.
Thanks for Looking!
