Car description

Lupo Motors is proud to offer this beautiful 1966 Shelby GT-350 Race Car. Starting its life in 1966 as a GT350 Hertz car, the car was purchased and raced by Bob Ramseur in 1969. Bob and his son found the car on their way back to the hotel from Road Atlanta one weekend when they got a little lost and found a blue and white striped mustang at a used car lot. As they arrived to check it out, they... discovered it was in fact a Shelby. There are pictures included in the binder of information from the day they purchased it off the lot. The car at that point had most likely been raced already as the carpet was stripped out, did not have a proper seat, the front valance was no longer stock, the side windows had been removed, and a roll bar had been installed. The car was towed back to Lincolnton, North Carolina where it sat in the Ramseur family's backyard. In the early 70's Bob began racing the car. In its first race, the only thing Ramseur did was check the oil and put air in the tires. He won that first race and the car continued to win with multiple races and championships to it. 3 SCCA South East Region championships to be exact. The car was first ran under the number 13 and was changed to 21 somewhere down the timeline. The car and vin have been verified by SAAC. Since then the car has been bought and sold a few times but was very well maintained by a race engineering company. The engine has been gone through and the car was run on the dyno. Most recently the car has been raced at Daytona, Sebring, Amelia Island, and Savanna. The car is in the registry and very well documented. This car has an incredible story and is not one to miss out on. Please contact us for further questions, documentation, pictures, or a shipping quote.
