Prospective buyers are encouraged to Google Unique Motorcars of Gadsden, Alabama. Their cars are often built to order as a turn-key automobile and are of a hand-made quality vs. the home-made look that lower-priced Cobra replicars exhibit. In fact, they are the worlds oldest manufacturer of Cobra replicas and have been a driving force in that industry since 1977. Significant industry honors include
- The BEST Cobra Kit Car by KIT CAR Magazine (January 1990)
- 1990 Good Manufacturing Practices Award from the Association of Handcrafted Automobiles
- Cover-shot representing Cobra replicas in December 1991 issue of Car & Driver magazine
The Unique Motorcars Cobra is truly special and highly regarded. Those familiar with these cars know this well. But if you are new to these very fine Cobras, please visit the excellent clubcobra.com forum, where you will find comments such as these about Unique Motorcars Cobras: One of the top kits available. If I were choosing today, they would be on my short list. I have been to the factory and seen the operation first hand as well as several built examples of cars around here, all were first-rate and one in particular was as nice of a replica as I have ever seen. As has been said, the Weavers are as good as they get. I have a Unique, built in 1993. It has NO body or stress fractures at all and the paint is original with only the rock chips from driving. The paint is excellent with original luster and finish. The Weavers are GREAT people and are always helpful when asked questions. They have supplied updated parts when requested and expedite the shipping. I cant say a bad thing about them or their operation. If you purchase one of their replicas you wont be sorry. Fantastic car, very well built and I must say very safe as Cobras go (Call the Weavers for details). COLOR NOTE: The car is a very rich red. However, digital cameras in particular often lighten red to a bit of an orange look in bright light. Therefore, please judge the color primarily by those photos in less sunlight that appear very red because that is a more accurate rendition. IMPORTANT IMAGE NOTES: To fully illustrate this classic Cobra, there are well over 100 images. The first 12 images are intended to give a quick overall presentation of the car from a variety of vantage points. Seasoned collectors and enthusiasts know that to really "know" a car, a close-up look all around the car is a MUST...so there are several sets of close-ups for serious buyers featuring the Exterior, Interior, Engine Compartment, Wheels/Tires, and Undercarriage. To see ALL the images...you MUST place your cursor on an image - allow plenty of time for all images to download - and then scroll slowly ALL the way to the bottom. CAUTION: if you use the scroller to the FAR RIGHT of your screen or the "Click to view image album" feature...you will NOT see all the images. OPERATIONAL REPORT & CONDITION SUMMARY
as one would expect, this Cobra is exhilarating to drive or ride it. Very solid and sure on the road
inspires confidence. Owned by a mature enthusiast not interested in testing the cars limits, but rather, driven with respect and the care that any fine automobile deserves. The owner also test drove the big-block version, but just as everyone says, the lighter NASCAR-inspired 351 (bored to 358) is lighter and improves handling and the overall driving experience markedly. Due to the very light overall weight of the car, 385HP makes for exhilarating performance. However for those desiring more experienced performance engine specialists such as Southern Automotive may be able to substantially increase HP for the new owner. There are over 100 images to show you every area of the car. By any reasonable standard, it is in good-excellent condition in every area. However, it is NOT a 100% perfect trailer-queen show car. It has been gently driven and enjoyed as it should be. There is a patina of respectful use and age here and there which an increasing number of collectors find far more desirable when left as-is and original, rather than being perfected to the point where one would be afraid to use the car. 2,900+ TRANSACTIONS WITH HAPPY PEOPLE! As of the date of this listing, we've had over 2,900 transactions (both buying and selling) on eBay without a single complaint. One of the keys to our selling success is the use of LARGER and MORE images than you will likely see in ANY other eBay listing...so you can CLEARLY see what you are getting. QUESTIONS? Please call Jim Murphy at 706-429-7924 if you have any questions that this description or the pictures at right do not answer for you. COLLECTIBLE INVESTMENT POTENTIAL
the design which originated in the US with the famed Shelby Cobra is one of the most iconic in sports car history
right up there with Ferrari and Jaguar XK-E styling of the same era. Heres a car that will never be out of style, and high-end Cobra replicas such as this are really holding their value
especially since you could approach $100,000 for a 2018-built equivalent. PAYMENT DETAILS: Payment is due within 3 business days of auction's end via Bank to Bank Wire Transfer. Vehicle will be released to the new owner immediately upon full clearance of payment to seller's Bank. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS are welcome, but MUST adhere to the Payment Details above and also make all arrangements for pick-up and importation of the vehicle into the Buyer's country. Also, we may send a request for International bidders to confirm that they fully understand all terms of sale and payment, and to acknowledge their responsibility for all transport arrangements and costs. ABOUT ME: I am an avid car enthusiast. After retiring from 30 years of sales and marketing in a Global 100 company, I formed Murphy Endeavors, LLC and began buying and selling classic cars as a collector and for friends and clients. This beautiful classic Cobra is owned by a good friend and fellow classic car enthusiast. Please note that I have had over 2,900 eBay transactions with 100% Positive Feedback and have sold classic cars to happy eBay customers in Brazil, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Germany, Australia, Russia, Canada, Japan, and throughout the United States. IMPORTANT FINAL REMARKS & CONDITIONS OF SALE...the Buyer will receive a Notarized Bill of Sale and the clear Georgia Title. The car is titled as a 1967 Ford, and Unique Motorcars lists the date of manufacture of this replica as 11-93. Special Title Note: As this is listed, we were re-checking all documents and picked up a very small title error that has gone unnoticed for almost 20 years... the first five characters read: tv1n, but should read: tvin. We will go to work to correct this immediately, but there may be a brief waiting period for the Georgia DMV to re-issue a corrected title. Though this is a very well-maintained Cobra, it is a modern-day classic nearing 20 years of age. A large number of maintenance and repair receipts accompany this low-mileage example
and continued maintenance and repairs must be expected in the future. We know of no operational defects with the car, but repair needs often occur without notice and the new owner must anticipate and be prepared for this. Therefore, this sale is strictly on an as-is and final basis with no warranties or liabilities expressed or implied. The owner attests that the odometer mileage of 18,249 at the time of listing is the actual mileage of the vehicle since new. Every effort has been made to present this car completely and accurately to the best of our knowledge and resources, but errors and oversights are possible. Therefore, pre-purchase examination of the vehicle (if desired) is welcomed before the listing's end and can be easily arranged by appointment. QUESTIONS?
