Car description |
---|
Offered for consideration is a one of a kind car. Touched by the hands of both Carroll Shelby and the legendary original designer Peter Brock. This is a 2010 Shelby Continuation Daytona delivered by Shelby and then modified by Brock. Shelby signed the glove box, Brock the engine compartment. This vehicle features a Shelby by Roush 427 SR motor, 525 HP, with Tremec 5 speed transmission. The car is listed in the Shelby Registry and comes with a complete set of documentation. Peter picked the car up here in CA and then added all the Brock Racing features including BRE gauges, mirrors, lens covers, painted rear cove, new rear glass, painted wheels etc. Vehicle has a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires, a fresh annual from Voss Performance and a new battery.
Attention CA Buyers - the vehicle has SB-100 Registration! (No Smog for Life!)
I am the second owner, having bought the vehicle from the estate of the original owner.
The 6 original Daytona's are all in museums, each worth tens of millions. There are only a few hundred of the Shelby American Continuations. Often copied by others, only a few in the world have Brock badging and have been touched by both Shelby American and Brock Racing. Together again as in 1964 and 1965.
Last appraised (before Brock Racing did his thing) at $185,000.00. Estimated value now $200,000.00+. Just to buy a rolling chassis and build a new Superformance or Shelby version costs more than the asking price.
