Dallas Motorsports is pleased to present this 1966 Shelby GT350 that has just arrived at our facility !
This GT350 has recently been given a full mechanical restoration by Fershtand Racing, located in FT. Worth, Texas. The mechanical restoration included a freshly prepared K-code 289 HiPo engine estimated at 375Hp through tuned Weber carbs. Although never officially raced, the car has participated in one parade lap and many show events.
R-Model equipped with: roll bar, rear shelf, blue dot spare, rear Plexi window, front apron, torque thrust D wheels, Konis shocks, Raydot mirror.
After a collision in 1975,the carwas re-bodied from the original Shelby body to a correct 289 K-code Raven Black body.
Three important facts that are not present in the Shelby registry:this Shelby still maintains the original 6S970 data plate; the title has continued as GT 350 SFM6S970; and the rebody was done using an original K-code car complete with a copy of the original MSO.
Replicas or recreations are made from basic Mustang bodies generally; this is what remains of 6S970 and has been rebodied like many other restored Shelby's out there today.
