Hello Ebay! Up for Auction is a GENUINE Shelby Lancer. This is a real deal Shelby Vehicle! It is an ACTUAL piece of Shelby automotive history. This run of Lancers is one of the projects for Chrysler that Carroll Shelby the legend himself and his team worked on at his actual shop. This is NOT one of the liscencing jobs where Shelby was simply making money off his name. As you can see in the photos, every identifying sticker or plaque on this car says Shelby Automobiles INC. and is a 1987 in Red, the only year and color for Lancers that were sent to Shelby's shop. Who knows, maybe Shelby himself sat in this car!
This car is #370 of 400 of the manual versions of this car. It is a survivor that I saved from going to the scrapper. The car runs and moves. With some new gas and battery, it fired right up! It will need motor work. The body is surprisingly straight besides the very repairable scratch on the rear passenger quarter panel (see pics). The paint has sun damage. The only other issue is it seems that the previous owner broke an interior mold that goes around the dash while taking out their cd player because that is the only thing missing from this car. The dash is in good shape, no damage from the cd player removal, just the missing plastic mold.
As far as I can tell, this is a unmolested example of a Shelby Lancer. Besides some maintanace parts, this car was not modified at all. It is all original. So there you have it! Here is your chance to own a piece of Shelby Automotive history!
