BODYWORK/TRIM

Factory Five Racing has long been applauded for their great fiberglass work, nd this Cobra is no exception. The car's virtually flawless profile, howcasing the typically tight tolerances that have become a Factory Five hallmark, ays excellent groundwork for a wet looking coat of Ford Tungsten Gray 2-stage. Since pretty much every Cobra worth its salt needs to have some kind of war paint, he builder blended a classy pair of bright silver racing stripes. And today, his super slick Cobra is a sophisticated classic that exhibits twice the style and twice the race-bred DNA of a typical replicar boulevard cruiser.

Speaking of sophistication, rude detailing is often the downfall of an otherwise excellent build. Not so with this roadster, s every aspect of its design enhances Shelby's innate style and appeal. At the front of the car, olished quick lifts reflect chrome-trimmed headlights, ullet-style parking lamps and a requisite Shelby emblem. Combustion comes courtesy of a balanced and blueprinted rotating assembly, hich is framed by a cast Eagle crank and Comp Xtreme Energy cam. The fires stay lit thanks to MSD 6AL ignition, n MSD distributor, Pertronix coil and loomed Ford Racing plug wires. That fire is kept in check by a beefy aluminum radiator, hich is mated to a big electric puller fan. A modern serpentine system spins a rebuilt alternator above an aluminum water pump while spent gases are cycled through ceramic-coated headers.
