Car description |

1994 Saturn SL1
I'm the second owner and have owned it since 2002. I purchased it from a responsible coworker.
It's an old car, so set your expectations :)
Paint: faded from the sun
Body: no dents (its a Saturn, so its plastic)
Interior: wear-n-tear on the side front seat. Never smoked in. Auto-seatbelts still work. Radio works.
Battery: brand new as of a few days ago (AutoZone)
Tires: good. One or two of them is brand new as of a month or so ago.
Engine/Mechanical: here's where you'll have to figure out what its worth to you to fix or live with:
0. The check engine light is NOT on.
1. The A/C doesn't work and hasn't for many years. Not sure what's wrong.
2. The heater & temp gauge *recently* stopped working. I replaced the thermostat a few days ago. Still doesn't work. I was going to replace the ECTS and gauge sensor but decided to just sell it. Maybe the heater core is clogged. I honestly don't know.
3. Oil leak - it has had this for probably the last 8 years I've owned it. I just lived with it and never looked into the cost to get it fixed.
4. Just in the last few days the gas pedal occasionally acts odd (going from stop to sudden acceleration it doesn't register). I also haven't looked into what the issue is.
5. It passed emissions at one of the official Chandler DMV emissions test center this past summer.
6. No coolant leaks
7. The odometer stopped working around 149,000 miles. I never looked into fixing it.
8. Car otherwise runs fine for what it is and is used daily
The good news is there's tons of info online for repairing this Saturn. It's also super-cheap to register.
It has been a car that just won't quit, relatively easy for me to repair since only simple things have needed replacement, aside from that listed above.
if you need to ask questions in spanish, se habla espanol .
