Car description |
---|
Cool and fast Saab 900 Turbo with practicality built in; Four doors, fold down rear seat that lets you load it up, front wheel drive for winter and good visibility all around. Fun car to drive. Also is very mechanically sound and I have replaced the brakes all around, it has near new Nokian winter tires, heater works great although the fan is stuck on high, no AC, but may just need a charge of the old school freon? Does not use or leak any fluids. Transmission is solid with a new clutch. One note is that downshifting into second requires letting your wheel speed get down to downshift smoothly. New battery in 2018. New JVC stereo system with 4 speakers in 2018. New Bosch fog lamps up front recently.
Problems are; the hood has some issues as it won't stay in the full up position and is a bit difficult to close, but does latch tight. A body shop could fix this easily. There are some paint scratches from someone not getting the hood on track and closing it, then opening the driver's side door. Another body shop detail. A few additional scratches here and there with some mars that look as though they would rub out. Dash lights have recently gone dark, Not sure what the problem is here, but probably a switch. Windows are power and the rears are a bit slow, but they all work.
Good car overall and I drive it about every day down to the trout hole and back, but haven't taken it on a road trip since last Spring when I went to Moab. Did fine. All good and parts are readily available.
