This 1969 SAAB 96 Deluxe had a full restoration by a previous owner approximately 17-18 years ago. It is still very presentable but is beginning to show its age a little. There is full documentation of the work done. I have many pictures of the process and a stack of receipts. Also included are the original owners manual, rare SAAB factory service manual, Haynes repair manual, original sales brochure and parts source information. This is a fully functional and driving car. The motor a V4 (1500 cc 73hp) starts easily and runs good. Receipts indicate it being rebuilt. The unique transmission is a 4 speed column shift and is freewheeling. That means that after starting out you can shift without using the clutch saving on fuel and wear and tear on the clutch. The free wheeling works as it should. Receipts indicate new clutch and pressure plate installed. As can be seen in the attached pictures the car was completely disassembled and redone in the original white. The paint is now checking and cracking in a few places but still very nice looking. The interior likewise was redone to include new seats and headliner. The dash pad is not crackedAll of the instruments work and an aftermarket radio installed with two speakers in the rear parcel tray. The mileage currently shows around 9,450. From what I can gather it has been driven around 4,300 miles since being restored. The wheels were repainted and and sport the original SAAB wheel covers. The tires have plenty of tread but are older. I have driven on them to many car shows with no problems. The bumpers are straight and all bright work and trim is in good condition.A very nice driver quality vehicle that you can hop in and enjoy. The SAAB is being sold in as-is condition with no warranties either expressed or implied.A $500 non refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of auctions ending.
