Hi, folks. Up for sale is one 1980 Lectric Leopard. 13,600 miles. All lights and accessories function except horn. Includes original sales paperwork and correspondence, service manuals and maintanence logs from its first few years as a promotional vehicle for an Iowa utility. Also includes documentation from its initial publicity tour! In 2009, it was upgraded with all new electronics and 144 volts worth of gel-cell batteries. Its powerful! Charges fully in 6 hours. Includes its original tow bar, tows easily and smoothly... Range with the controller set to Fun Mode (I haven't bothered trying to change settings) in my hilly, stop-and-go neighborhood is around 15 miles if driving with attention to amp draw, expect more if it can run for some distance at steady speed. I personally think it should be carrying more battery, they're 12 12v 50ah... I posted a couple of YouTube vids, search Lectric Leopard test-drive. There's one uphill start, one cruising on flat road. A quick online search will also turn up a few older articles and pix on this particular vehicle as well as a video of a raucous parking lot romp with much tire squeal... I'm glad to answer anything requested by seriously interested parties, however I don't have time for 20 Questions situations from admirers. Buyer responsible for shipping cost and arrangement. I'm willing to deliver within 400 miles of Milwaukee WI for $1.25 per loaded mile. Thanks for your interest.
