Car description |
---|
Here for sale is a 1977 Porsche 911 S Targa. This is a California car and upon viewing the photos you will see how rust free it is. The interior is all original and in very nice condition, o cracks on the dash or the rear speaker dash. However, he base of the drivers leather seat split from the dry climate so I have installed seat covers. The passenger side window regulator is not working correctly. This 911 S was a factory AC car, owever the AC compressor, ompressor mount and condensor were removed, long with factory exhaust and a header was installed. I do have those parts and they will be included with the sale of the car.
The engine was a factory replacement early in its life, o the engine VIN pad is blank. After contacting the previous owner, ho purchased the car I believe in 1979 always kept the car serviced and well maintained. At about 85K miles the engine was removed and completely rebuilt and restudding the case bolts. At about 85K the speedometer broke and replaced it with a usedbut correct speedometer that reads 125K. The previous owner hasguesstimated approximately15k on the rebuilt engine. Ihaveover 10,000.00 dollarsin receipts along with the original owners manual that I received at the time of purchase from the previous owner. This Porsche was originally a medium blue metallic and had a complete color change to dark blue metallic back in the 1980's. The paint shows well, here are a few door dings, nd average flaws you would see on a street driven car of this age. However, his 911 was always garaged kept.
Just had it serviced with fluid change and rebuilt front calipers. This Porsche runs and drives great and pulls strong through the gears with plenty of power.
1977 was the last year of the second generation lightweight, arrow bodied cars that are rapidly escalating in value. This is a great car to drive as is and enjoy or to take to the next level with paint and seat covers.
