This 928 was imported new to Southpointe Porsche Audi of Sarasota, FL, where it resided for about a year. In 1982 the car traveled to Columbus, GA, where it stayed with the second owner until 1994. During that year, the owner moved to country side in Alabama, and for about 6 years, the car was pretty much stored away. It would be started regularly and was taken out for very short drive once a month or so. In 2000, the owner moved to Marietta, GA, and eventually to Palm Coast, FL. In 2016, the second owner passed away and the car was passed on to his son, who brought it back to GA and kept it until now. The Guards Red exterior of this car is very nice with the exception of the rear fender, which has been repainted in the past. Over the years, the paint on this fender has aged differently than the original paint on the rest of the vehicle. The interior has been very nicely preserved, showing some normal wear that comes with age. The car is mechanically sound, with the exception of the second gear synchro which is worn.
