We are pleased to bring to market this very clean and nicely documented low mileage 1986 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet with just over 45k miles on the odometer. Low mileage cars are getting very difficult to find and this setup gives you the ability to still drive and enjoy this car along with seeing a strong appreciation over the years to come. Current owner has routinely serviced the car along with keeping it in a detailed state during his 11+ years of ownership. Vehicle was sold new out of Grand Rapids, Michigan on 8-29-1986 from the local Porsche dealer, The Car Barn. Vehicle then was sold to another Grand Rapids man in 1989 where he kept the car till 2009 and selling to current owner just outside of Grand Rapids.
Vehicle appears to be all original paint and our paint meter reading varied from 3.5-6.0mls and is within spec of factory paint. The exterior is in remarkable condition and it is very evident that the previous owners of this car cared for it properly and loved this cabriolet. Interior is equally as nice with just a few blemishes on the driver seat showing its age with some discoloration. Vehicle performs extremely well with all 5 gears engaging properly and power features working. Convertible top cylinders were disengaged as the previous owner did not like the way the top slammed into the windshield, this was done professionally at a highly regarded Porsche mechanic and could be brought back to factory specs without much difficulty. Service stamps in the maintenance book show routine service and we also have a handful of hard copy receipts that will come with vehicle. Same shop has serviced the car since 1997 and was treated to an open checkbook with service.
Other than the Pioneer head unit and upgraded speakers the car is in original condition and shows very nicely. We have a copy of the original MSRP that shows a window sticker of $47,505 when new. Factory options include; special leather ($1,035), raised steering hub ($50), tonneau cover ($537), shortened shift lever($50), power door locks ($263), 16in forged alloy wheels ($1,659), auto heating control ($510), power top ($1,890), cruise control ($336), front and rear spoilers ($1,392), and alarm system ($210). Vehicle retains the tonneau cover, convertible top cover, tool roll, compressor, spare tire, factory owner's manuals, service records, and stereo manual. This car demands your attention and will not only provide some great times as you drive but is a "Blue Chip" investment opportunity. With so many variables going on in the stock market, this is a smart move for anyone!
