Car description |

1975 Porsche 914 2.0LA very nice unmolested 3-owner Ca car that's been garaged it's whole life. I purchased the 914 in March of 2019 from the second owner. The 914 was put into covered storage in 1999 and not driven or removed until I purchased it last year when the owner passed away.Due to the 20 year extended hibernation I had the fuel system completely gone through with a new tank, fuel pump, filter, sending unit and lines. The injectors were removed and cleaned, new spark plugs installed, oil and filter change and the cylinder head temperature sensor replaced. The brake system was checked and new tires installed. The aluminium Riviera wheels were restored and polished. A front air dam/chin spoiler is not installed but will be included in the auction. All the lights, signals, wipers and headlight doors are operational. The radio appears to turn on but has no sound. The DPD (Dealer Products Division) dealer installed A/C system is operational and the compressor engages but does not get cold.Assuming it is low on refrigerant after sitting unused for 20+ years. This system is still the original R-12 and should be retro fitted to R134a refrigerant.
The 2.0L engine does leak a little oil but runs good and doesn't smoke. I have a receipt showing the engine was rebuilt approximately 700 miles ago. It will be included along with a file folder of records that date back to the late 70's. The exhaust appears to be all stock and still has the original catalytic converter. The shift linkage does seem to have excessive play. Shift selection requires finesse and some getting use to. The 914 appears to be accident free with no previous damage visible. One repaint done in the 90's in the original white but with a slight pearl added. The body has a few small storage dings visible and a scratch on the passenger door. Please contact me if additional pictures are required. The 914 has a clean Ca title and is currently registered.
