Car description |
---|
I just finished bringing this C coupe back to life after 46 years of slumber. It was parked indoors in 1973 with 68000 miles and is just now back on the road. It is really truly a Porsche built car since it has never been fully apart and rust was never a problem with this car. The engine and transmission are the original units per the CoA and both have just been rebuilt. The crankshaft is "standard" so the engine was well cared for in its first 68k miles. New pistons/cylinders. All new valves. The clutch is new. The shift linkage is rebuilt. It has its original date stamped wheels with 5 new Vredestein tires. All four brake calipers and rotors are new as are the shocks and rear suspension bushings. This car has its original floors and was never a rusty car. It comes with its original owner's manual, jack and tool kit.It comes with its original Blaupunkt radio, speakers, and antenna not installed. New steering coupler. New exhaust. Many more new parts.Wheel alignment just completed. Fully sorted and drives beautifully. It is color changed from white/black to attractive period correct Porsche Smyrna green(new)/saddle tan FULL LEATHER(new) but otherwise it is completely original per the CoA.
The 356C is the final developement of the breed and with the refinements to the engine, transmission and disc brakes it is absolutely the best driving car.
I suggest you come and see the car in person.
