1969 Porsche 911T coupe with matching numbers and COA
This 1969 Porsche (vin 119122599) sunroof delete, is an original California car, and has been in storage for the past fifteen plus years. Restoration has been a long term part-time project. It has about 113,000 original miles, matching numbers, and a fresh overhaul on the original engine. The engine was disassembled, cleaned, and thoroghly inspected, including a line bore for standard mains by G.E.M. Performance, in Lakewood WA. The crankshaft was magna-fluxed and micropolished, and new standard main and rod bearings installed. All rotating parts were balanced. Heads received a racing valve job, which included all new valves, springs, guides, and seals. The Weber carburetors were cleaned and overhauled. The front horseshoe shaped body pan (under the gas tank) was professionally replaced due to a faulty battery (all other parts of the body are in excellent condition and rust free). All original tinted glass, trim and mouldings were removed before preparations and painting The original faded paint (Ossi blue #6803) was replaced with Fire-mist red. A new headliner was installed, a new dash cover installed, and all rubber mouldings replaced, including fuzz strips for side windows and doors. Chrome and anodized trim are in excellent condition. The "Scheel" front sport seats were upholster in black vinyl with grey upholstery fabric inserts (Original seats not available). The solid rotors were replaced with vented rotors, and 1975 911S (alloy) calipers installed on front, new rear calipers installed, and a new master cylinder installed, along with new brake pads and hoses. New Koni shocks were installed front and back. The clock and speedometer were reconditioned by North Hollywood Speedometer, and all gauges are functioning correctly. The original ignition system (early non-CDI) was replace with an MSD 6A Capacitive discharge system. All wiring has been traced and found to be correct or corrected to the appropriate Porsche wiring diagram. The gas tank was steam cleaned and all gas lines thoroughly cleaned. The 15" X 6" "Fuchs" wheels were polished, and new 205/65 Sumitomo HTR A/S P02 tires are on front and back. A Porsche IROC whaletail is currently installed.
This car is in excellent condition with a clear title, no record or wrecks, no evidence of rust, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). Receipts of the restoration, a Haynes Repair Manual, a 1969 Drivers Manual, the COA for the car, and an enlarged correct electrical wiring diagram (three electrical wiring changes were made in the 1969 models) are available with transfer of the car. A deposit payment of $1,000 is required within 48 hours and a certified check or bank wire for the remainder is due within seven days. The buyer is responsible for arranging transportation, but I will assist where possible. Inspections and questions are welcome before end of auction. Additional pictures are available on request.
