I must sell due to a family situation
The car has current 2020 California registration. It passed smog. If the car sells to a California resident, a new smog certificate will be included in the transfer.
This Porsche 911 has been in my family for 35 years.
In 1985 famous Newport Imports put a steel wide body kit on the car, with the whale tail. The vehicle sat in storage for much of the 1990s, was put back on the road in early 2000 and in storage after that. It was passed down to me 5 years ago. The odometer stopped working about 500 miles ago. The mileage must be listed as unknown. It has about 61k miles on it according to DMV history.
In the last three years the following all NEW parts has been done by a Porsche mechanic.
The total upgrades are well over $18k.
Fuel pumpFuel tankFuel linesFuel injectorsRebuilt ALL gearsNew clutchNew master cylinderBrake linesSmall fixes to the convertible top latchesWindow controlsUpgraded stereo, speakers along with a powered 6" Bazooka subwoofer.Once a year oil and spark plugs replaced.
The car runs very smooth and fast, with no leaks. The A/C belt has been removed to put less stress on the engine. The car is all stock with NO engine modifications.
The dash is a bit sun warped (common for Porsche). The heater works as does all other electronics. The driver's seat is adjustable electronic. The door pockets could use some help. Paint would be the next phase for this car. In the right light you can see the passenger door shows small Bondo repair back in 1989. From 10 feet away it looks beautiful.
It has the rare sport bucket leather seats; with some wear, but no tears, a front bra, car cover. The top has a small tear that has been repaired. 16" forged alloy Fuchs wheels with new tires, dual exhaust. This car has always been garaged and is rust-free. It's not a showroom condition car. It's made to be tinkered with and driven. I drive it on the weekends only. If you have any questions just ask.
