Here is a link to a short youtube video with more pics:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ny1a0Airp2A&feature=youtu.beThe engine and transmission were removed in my shop. The engine was disassembled and sent to the machine shop. (see included lists). All other parts are boxed and in original condition.
The Rocker Shaft Arms have not been replaced. The shafts are available at Pelican Parts for under $20 each.
Rebuilt Heads: replaced valves, guides and seals.
Resurfaced heads
Replaced 6 pistons and one cylinder
Replaced 1 camshaft sprocket
Time-sert 1 inner 8 mm stud in case
Time-sert 5 exhaust studs
12 new exhaust studs
The muffler was replaced at some point. The heat exchangers look original, no exhaust leaks but the sheet metal could use some attention.
The original 915 transmission is drivable, but it really needs the synchros replaced on 1st and 2nd gears.
The 2nd 915 transmission is from a later model 911 and I bought it as a smooth shifting replacement.
I stripped out the interior to inspect the tub. There is some rust damage on the floor behind the passenger seat and a little on the tabs that hold the upholstery on the door jambs. There is also some seam welding on the tub floor behind the seats.
There is some paint loss on the hood (see photos) but the hood is undamaged and I could find no body filler on the car.
The bumpers and trim are in good shape and the window chrome (wing windows) are exceptional for their age.
There is a complete Camel colored interior out of a later model 911 with leather seats, door panels, carpets and a dash.
There is one extra Fuchs Rim. No spare tire. I have the PORSCHE letters for the engine lid. The Targa top is in good shape. There is a reasonable reserve on this sweet little 911.
