This 1989 Porsche 944 S2 coupe is finished in Guards Red over Linen partial leather, and power comes from a 3.0-liter DOHC inline-four paired with a five-speed AOS manual trans-axle. Factory equipment includes the standard S2 options shown on the dealer invoice plus full power partial leather front seats, cruise control, air conditioning, and a removable roof panel. Option codes on the rear trunk sticker are 437, 438, 454, 533, 573, 593, 650, and 946. Replacement of the timing and balance shaft belts and rollers/tensioner, cooling system components, and other items were completed by the owner in July 2019. This 944 S2 is now offered with factory manual, dealer window sticker, service records, a tool kit and air compressor, and a clean Washington title in the seller's name.
The Guards Red (LM3A) finish is contrasted by a black rubberized spoiler and bumperettes. S2 models share the Turbo's aerodynamic body modifications and suspension and braking, including an integrated front bumper and valence, rocker extensions, and a rear diffuser panel.Staggered-width 16″ Design 90 polished alloy wheels are fitted with Continental ExtremeContact tires showing 2011 date codes and good tread remaining.The cabin is upholstered in Linen partial leather with matching carpets and contrasting black surfaces on the upper dash, doors, center stack, and steering wheel. An Alpine cassette stereo has been fitted in the stock location replacing the factory 'Reno' radio along with a matching Alpine CD shuttle installed in the glovebox. A set of black floor mats are fitted to protect the front carpet. Instrumentation includes a 165-mph speedometer, tachometer with 6,400 rpm redline, and fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and charging gauges. Approximately 94,950 miles are shown on the odometer, 5k of which were added by the current owner since purchase in 2012.

A service performed at 94,800 miles by the owner included a new Gates Racing kevlar timing belt, balance shaft belt and tensioner, idlers/rollers, and a new water pump with thermostat, accessory belts, battery, oil seals (crankshaft front and oil pump sleeve), K&N oil and air filters. The ignition system has been upgraded with an MSD SCI box and coil, and new Clewett plug wires, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, and a short-shift kit have been installed by the current owner.
Lots of service records from the previous owners including the Koni M030 coil over front strut and rear shock kit 4-way performance alignment and balance with ride height adjustments in 2010, the 944 S2 clutch kit (KF78201) in 2005 at a mileage of 66,185, and DOHC chain and pad kit install along with cam cover reseal in 2011 at 81,830. Belts/Rollers/Pump service performed at 94,800 by owner.
