Hello,Thanks for checking out my item. Unfortunately, it's time to say goodbye to this 89 944 T project. I purchased this car from an estate in Maine a few months back. When purchased, the car did not start or run it was truly a "barn find" I replaced the starter, reference sencors, and KLR and it came back to life. After getting it running, the car did not move or shift. I replaced the clutch, pressure plate, T/O bearing and flywheel. The car now runs and drives under its own power. That is as far as I have gotten with this project, and would now like to pass it along to someone who can take it to the next stage. I have inspected the car and it is currently in need of the following item, Power steering pump (somebody removed it, I dont know why) and motor mounts are pretty bad. Please note!!! I have never driven this car any further than a few feet in and out of the garage and parking spaces. I have never bene on the highway with it and I have never had it up to any significant speed. This is a PROJECT!!I have never had the right rear damage inspected by a body shop or by any body guys. Obviously you can get to the back side of the damage and it may be able to be straightened. I came across the Turbo rear clip for sale and figured that I would buy it incase it was needed. I will include this in the sale. I have a previous registration and bill of sale with this car.Body: Paint i, obviously, rough. Right rear quarter has damage, not sure if it can be repaired. Complete rear clip included in the sale
Interior: Drivers seat is torn on the bottom. Carpets are pretty soiled. Car has a plastic dash cover on i, factory dash is cracked. 10 Speaker system
Engine: Starts and runs well. Cylinder head looks to be new. No visible smoking at idle. Motor mounts need replacement, lots of vibration at idle.Driveline: Car has had complete clutch replacement, pressure plat, flywheel, T/O bearing, Disc.Wheels have Winter tires.I HAVE NEVER DRIVEN THIS CAR ANY FURTHER THAN A FEW FEET AT SLOW SPEED!! I HAVE NEVER BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY OR OVER 20MPH.This is a pretty rare hard to find car with Top examplet in the $25-30K range. This could be a great project or track car for somebody.
