Here's an opportunity to get an Air Cooled 911 at a great price! This was a Euro car. Had a km speedo (no longer here). Clean Colorado title.
This is a car I had purchased as a roller (see first pic) to convert into a race car. No Engine or Transmission to be clear. Brakes and Steering still installed. I have stripped the car down pretty far so the rest of the pictures are what I found and the major parts that are included. Lots more in boxes, but no driveline parts. I want to be clear that there are some major parts for this project that are missing so it is not complete. Notably missing are:
Body:The car was originally yellow and had resprays of red and black.Front Bodywork is all there and in good shape except the passenger fender needs rust repair. Headlights are complete. No doors, Targa Top, glass, rear bumper or rear deck lid. They are not with the car and I do not have them.
Wheels: Original Fuchs need refinish but if you've read this far you know how much they are worth.
Interior:Included is an excellent condition original dash pad, most of the gauges(speedo is gone), defroster setup, some trim and vinyl pieces. Shifter and E brake and pedals still in car. Some switches and other small parts.
Structural: Overall solid, good rockers and a straight frame. There is some rust most notably in the floor pan, passenger fender and under the driver side targa bar. The car comes with a complete front and rear new floor and a new front suspension pan, both of which need installing and a couple of patch panels which will need to be welded in. Just add labor! The car is straight and never been hit and was a low mileage car (52k or 85km) that sat in a warehouse in Colorado for almost 30 years after being put away wet after a failed clutch. At least that is the story as it has been passed down.
Mostly good parts are included and have been carefully removed and boxed. If the part was clearly junk it was binned. All can fit in the car for transport but the car is non operational other than rolling. This should make transport a little easier.
I am only selling it because I found a much closer to race ready shell for a favorable price. With a good blasting, and some replacement panels this car could be brought back to be a fine example for street or track but it is not a quick fix. Parts are readily available. Sold with no reserve and with many parts already removed and boxed. Too much to list.
It is a big project and is priced accordingly being sold at a low starting point and with no reserve! It is for sale locally as well. Car is located in North Texas near DFW. Contact me if you have any questions. The way Air Cooled 911's are going, you won't see much at this price.
